OIC rules and reference documents

Only members of the Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC) are eligible to take part in the BIC Open Innovation Competition (OIC). 

The aim of the OIC is to stimulate cooperation among members via the publication of challenges, the submission of proposed solutions to these challenges, and the performance of R&D projects delivering a proof-of-concept solution to each challenge.    
 

Who can submit a challenge?

• Industry (full) members Cat. 1 (Large enterprises) 
• Industry (full) members Cat. 2 (SMEs)

Who can submit a solution?

• Industry (full) members Cat. 2 (SMEs) 
• Industry (full) members Cat. 3 (microenterprises)
• SMEs represented by industry members Cat. 4 (SME Clusters)
• Associate members Cat. A (Universities and research organisations)

We will have another round of the competition in the second half of 2024.
